On December 28, 2021, the National Petroleum and Chemical Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held in Wuhan. More than 300 representatives from key national petroleum and chemical enterprises, scientific research units, colleges and universities, as well as news media attended the conference.

The meeting also awarded plaques to enterprises that are demonstration enterprises of technological innovation in the petroleum and chemical industry, demonstration enterprises of intellectual property rights in the petroleum and chemical industry, and innovation platforms in the petroleum and chemical industry.
